I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
